qftestJUI - 1.08.5

Release notes for qftestJUI version 1.08.5

September 27th, 2005

New features:

- On first startup qftestJUI now looks for JDKs in standard places. In case instrumentation is incomplete or inconsistent, it now offers to instrument all JDKs automatically.

- Instrumentation can now be done from the command line with -instrument <path to JDK or JRE>.

- Batch runs can now be cleanly terminated by pressing the "Don't Panic" key combination [Alt-F12] which will bring up a dialog with options to abort or continue the test.

- Especially on Windows, error messages during startup - like for invalid command line arguments - often do not show up on the console. Therefore qftestJUI now displays these in an error dialog as well. In batch mode the dialog will be closed automatically after 30 seconds to avoid blocking unattended batch runs.

- The "Text" attribute of a "Text input" node may now be left empty. In combination with the attribute "Clear target component first" this is a convenient way for clearing text fields.

Bugs fixed:

- An exception during table editing which was introduced with the latest JDK 1.5.0_06 is now handled cleanly.

- A "Try"/"Catch" block can no longer interfere with the "Return" from a "Procedure".

- The progress information during loading of compressed run-logs now shows the correct percentage.

- A potential conflict with the installation of a custom EventQueue by the SUT has been circumvented.
