qftestJUI - 1.08.3

Release notes for qftestJUI version 1.08.3

September 15th, 2005

New features:

- Load tests with qftestJUI are now officially supported together with a new licensing model that supports runtime licenses. The new chapter 13 in the user manual gives background information and explains the execution of load tests. Besides load tests, runtime licenses are also useful for batch mode tests in general and for interactive test runs with debugging support.
- Handling of pure AWT file dialogs has been reimplemented. It no longer requires any changes to the source code for the SUT and File selection nodes can even be recorded now.
- The new Jython method rc.clearGlobals() can be used in Server script nodes to unset all global qftestJUI variables.
- Freezing of the SUT's user interface during check recording has been improved so that checks for volatile popups like tooltips can now be recorded.

Bugs fixed:

- Recording of Drag&Drop has been improved again.
- JTabbedPanes with scrolled tabs are now handled properly.
- The search and replace dialogs did not support selecting the class structure attributes of Component nodes.
- Region and offset attributes of Check image nodes are no longer reset when the image is loaded.
- Regular expressions are now handled correctly when importing components from another suite.
- MouseEvents with keyboard modifiers are now replayed correctly.
- History in the Jython terminals on Windows now works correctly.
- qftestJUI now always tries to trigger a full thread dump if the SUT goes into a deadlock, not just when replaying events.
- Component names of components inside a JOptionPane are no longer suppressed, only the auto-generated names from JDK 1.5 are ignored.
- The setup.ksh installation script for Solaris and other systems with a limited Bourne Shell now again creates the correct link in /usr/local/bin.
- The new connection mechanism now also supports the standard applet viewer.
- Backslash characters '\' in Windows file names for test-suites in Procedure call nodes are now handled correctly.
