The purpose of QStudio Enterprise is to significantly reduce the risk to the enterprise associated with software development, software delivery or software acceptance.

QStudio Enterprise is:

• a powerful software assessment engine based on the ISO 9126 software quality model that is capable of automatically generating management oriented software assessment reports.
• an enterprise development support tool providing drill down capabilities to all identified issues within the software.
• a coding standards compliance system for a multi-user, multi-coding standard, multi-project environment.

Each of these functions can be used either separately or in conjunction.

QStudio Enterprise 2.2 seamlessly integrates with the industry leading automated software inspection tool (code analyzer) for Java: QJ Pro (an open source Java code analyzer originally developed by QA Systems). QStudio Enterprise integrates with 3rd party code management systems, enterprise reporting tools and defect tracking management systems.

Internal Software Assessment: You maintain and/or develop source code bases. You need to understand the development risk you are taking with respect to the quality of the source code.

External Software Assessment: You carry out software assessments for internal or external parties. You need to provide detailed insight and reporting into the potential software problems within the assessed software.

Software Acceptance: You are accepting software developed by an internal or external software supplier. You need to understand and have a detailed insight into the risks you are taking with respect to the quality of the supplied code.

Software Delivery: You deliver developed software to your internal or external customers. You need to demonstrate the delivered quality of the source code in terms that your customers management can understand. CMM Oriented Software Improvement Process: You have a measurable software improvement program. QStudio Enterprise supports software quality measurement, software quality benchmarking and software quality trend analysis capabilities allowing the organization institute a measurable software quality improvement program which can tie in with your overall quality program (CMM oriented processes).

Coding Standard Enforcement: You need to ensure that your coding standard are being enforced. QStudio Enterprise can support multiple different coding standards within multiple projects over the enterprise and can integrate with code management systems ensuring that only code satisfying your coding standard can be checked in into your projects code base.

QA Systems is currently working with industry leading code analyzer and open source communities to build adapters to seamlessly integrate third party code, profiling and test analyzers into the QStudio Enterprise ecosystem. Initial focus lies with integrating the code analyzer market followed later by the profiling and test analyzer markets.

QStudio Enterprise automates and embeds software assessment within the organization and assesses the software in business level terms based on the ISO 9126 software assessment standard. At the same time it provides drill down capabilities to issues within specific instances of the software.
