Raleigh, N.C, November 8th, 2001 - Web Performance Inc. is proud to announce the release of version 2.3 of the load testing product Web Performance Trainer containing some of the most requested features from our customers.

Short descriptions of the new features are given below .

Support for Proxy Servers

Performance tests can now be configured to record and execute tests through a Proxy Server. You can now run tests from behind a firewall and proxy server to anywhere on the Internet.

Capture Error Pages During a Test

When errors are detected during a test, more detailed information is now collected. This information, including the entire HTTP Request and Response, can be examined to aid post-test analysis and debugging.

Enhanced Page Validation

URLs can now be validated during a test by text comparison of the content. You can configure each individual URL so that during a load test, either the presence or absence of a text string will signal an error, and that page will be captured for post-test examination.

Auto-discovery of Remote Playback Engines

When playback engines are present on the local network, they are detected and added to the engine list on the Playback tab.

Export Graph Data to CSV format (Excel)

Data exported from graphs is now written in CSV format, which is readable by most spreadsheet applications. This greatly simplifies the task of importing the data to Excel, since Excel natively supports the CSV format with no separate import step required.

Additional Network Speed Settings

Network speed simulation now includes several additional speed selections, including DSL, Cable and LAN options.

Readily Available version/license information

The Help->About screen now includes most of the information required when submitting support requests, including the version, build number and license details.

Web Performance Trainer 2.3 shipped on November 8, 2001. It is available for purchase through Web Performance sales and authorized resellers.
